Mia's showroom Empty Mia's showroom

Post by Tanya Smith Wed Jun 08, 2011 12:16 pm

Well recently I learnt how to map. I will be posting my maps in this topic. I already created the famous "wolf shelter" in PC's forest. I will be posting screens soon, when I'll be able to enter MTA.

3 Rules if you decide you want to make an attempt at trying to slew these maps into VH:RP.

Keep the brief, Too many custom objects laggs peoples games!
Keep it good, Otherwise its not fit for going into the script!
Keep it interesting, Otherwise people wont use it or acknowledge it!

Can't post any more without the Map SS's.
Very Happy

Sorry for the delay, but yeah - my first job, first ever creation. Please rate it and criticize. I know it's not looking something awesome, but what could a wolf do using only it's claws? - So here's my Well known Wolf Shelter located in PC forest (And no trees aren't going through each other):

I am working on EMS-FD HQ right now, located closer to PC too. That one gonna win! Twisted Evil

I like how it's simply made but if you IC think about it that's about the biggest thing a wolf could make himself..So i say nice work.

Sorry for bumping if this is an old topic. Is this already mapped? If not, it would be good as a wolf shelter.

It's okay... It's mapped as seen in screen shots above, but it's not added in game.

EDIT: Long waited and only now finished EMS-FD HQ.
- Consists 85 objects.
- Closer to PC.
- Better then having Firetrucks at Hospital.

What do you think about it? Give imputs on what it's missing or just criticize it. It's my second work at mapping after all.

Mia's showroom Empty Re: Mia's showroom

The exterior from that screenshot looks a bit patchy but otherwise acceptible. My biggest advice is to cut down on all the open space. Make walls and cut up the scenery a bit. It's hard to look good when everything is one big open room. You will find that very few HQs of any kind are just one big room - it just gets too noisy! Remember, when mapping things like this- it's the details that make all the difference. Those little things that, even if people don't RP with them and all that jazz (Ie: Bathrooms, closets) they are there. Try to make a restroom, kitchen area. Make the exercise area seperate. Office area separate. A small meeting/teaching room. Make a lounge where they can relax. Maybe a small room for equipment (plus, that will serve as where they can /duty and whatnot).

Other than that, a good-looking job, especially for only your second work ever.

Instead of making it a hospital, which i think you may be doing,
How about converting it into a Fire/Ems house?
So like put some vehicles and such in, maybe a kitchen and a entertainment area,
and ems/fd could possibly spawn/live there..

That's what I am doing. We have a great hospital, perfectly mapped, why would we need another one?
The thing I am doing is a house that holds emergency vehicles in the first floor and living area in the second floor. Thus no interior is needed.
Living area consists of: Beds, where staff can rest, exercise area, small kitchen, an office.
The only thing I need would be to make some walls in it. Don't know which objects to use for them.
