Is adding a Shotgun good for SD?

SD Shotguns Empty SD Shotguns

Post by Edward Veatress Sat Jun 18, 2011 8:22 am

So on my vacation I encountered my local cops and I saw that they had Shotguns and I wondered, why dont we have Shotguns, Its a suggestion but adding a Selection of Shotgun or MP5 would be great. I mean do you see Sheriff Deputy's with MP5's running all over shooting random shit? Seriously, either we add it or we replace the MP5

I still have to see a cop with an MP5 who isn't guarding the Australian Embassy (Pictured below)

A sheriffa department IRL wouldnt go around with MP5's i dont think...Most of them keep a shotgun in the cruiser...I think that it would probably be better for the cops to spawn with Shotguns instead.
Keep the MP5 for specialised roles though.

IRL Cops take only their pistol in a call, and when it's serious shit, Like:

A Wolf appears on patrol ( IG Example) - Shotgun, carried on the cruiser

They get a call and the controller tells them about a bank robbery or something - an Assault Rifle, IRL the M16A2, or a sub machine gun, MP5; (After the LA bank shootout)

Don't know about you but some cops IRL DO use MP5's on their patrol, in the trunk of their cruiser, and many SD's let any officer choose what weapon they want on their patrol, that's the whole idea of The Gun Cage, choose ANY available firearm that fits your rank and duty in the Department and take it with you on patrol.

In Russia police uses Tar-21's on patrol and even an M-79 loaded with teargas grenades.

My suggestion to this would be, Cadets to Deputy get Mace, Baton and a pistol, Senior Deputy to Corporal get Mace, Baton, pistol and Shotgun, Sergeants and up get Mace, Baton, pistol, Shotgun and M4. All big weapons would be RPly stored in the cruiser and NOT carried on patrol. I see alot of LEOs in SA-MP on patrol unholstering M4s and MP5s and shotguns and stuff like that and that REALLY pisses me off considering its total PG. As for MP5s they aren't really used for law enforcement other then S.W.A.T.

Yeah but that's Russia.... You fool.
In the united states of America cops carry shotguns and pistols. Only in serious situations do they take submachine guns and assault rifles. >.>

So yeah umm..Might be a bit old but i dont see the need for a new topic...
Be nice if we could get the MP5's swapped for shotguns and just have the MP5's for SWAT/Special circumstances...Or alternativley it would be nice if we could select which gun t take, much like it works for SWAT.

A suggestion as a rule for SD for being able to choose between mp5 and shotgun is make SWAT a rank in SD and make an IC rule that only SWAT members can use the MP% so we don't have a bunch of SD's running around with automatics.

Thats not how it works..And there's no such thing as a SWAT rank..And there never will be...
If you're on the SWAT team then your SWAT..Simple as...
Besides...Nothing wrong with taking the Mp5 instead..Providing there's a good reason...

I meant as a faction rank -.-. As I said it's just a suggestion like I said to prevent a bunch of officers running around with MP5s.

Yes i support this suggestion because 1.A gun fight between SD and criminals would be more fair..2.I never seen any cops walking around with MP5's..So basically SD already has full armor plus having an MP5 just let's them always win.Criminals must have a chance to defend themself to.And also i'm tired of hearing SD say:Nick you got yourself into trouble then don't cry..I'm not crying i'm talking about the unfair balance between SD and criminals.

That's the part where your wrong..All SD is doing is driving keep watching Grove..As soon as we enter an alleyway SD follows us with their tasers i mean give us a CHANCE to do something criminal instead of stalking us trying to find stupid reasons to arrest us.Because Grove are the only criminals left all you do is following us for no reason.

Why dont you try being a bit more subtle...I mean, What the hell do you thinks gonna happen when a bunch of guys in green roll up in some green cars and get out and all pile into an alleyway?

I think you both have points. Maybe SD should back off a little, but yet Grove should be more careful. With gangs commonly associated with violence you can get stopped by Police for being affiliated with them, but that's usualy only where gang violence is high.

Other example:i hang out in the hood with my homies and i constantly see cop cars passing by..As soon as Grove gets online they think hey look criminals online let's bother yadda yadda.US CRIMINALS need a chance.Even when we hang around in a house SD try's to come in for no reason.I mean chase if we do something wrong like aiming a gun at someone but not stalking us around and watching us every second waiting for us to do something.I know i will get the same reply be more carefull and all that shit. But i'm trying to tell here what our options are which is none.I'm tired of telling you everything when you won't even slightly look at the facts and post stuff like be more carefull.
