Government System

After a argue with Edward and Victor J. for budget plans on Helicopters, I thought, why not make a Government system, which is based on 5-6 ranks, such as Governer or Legislator or Mayor of PC, I honestly think, its time we introduced a Government System to the Server to change Tax on property or on Checks to match our current economy for better RP and a more current society. It'd create more RP to the game, The Legislator or whoever is inchage of the State Budget can set an amount a Faction gets for the F-Bank. Now who thinks its a good idea, please reply your opinions and questions.

I believe the server is indeed getting popular enough to do this sort of rp now my question would be will it be based ig or on the forum. It could be either one. Also if it does indeed become a ig faction I would love to be apart of it. Seems like the more we gain people and the more the server grows this becomes a necessarily. I hope to see this become a real faction.

Yes, this Government system was suggestion on January with not even 100 people, but now we have over 400 and It'd be great to add it

Agreed with Chuck. What you're gonna do after first 3-5 RPs? Drive in a limo secured with guards and waiting for someone to try and assasinate you? Right...

I think having a goverment system is a good idea not just for the reason you have mentions but for instants we could have people to protect the mayor and people could rply try to assasinate him or kidnap all of these types of thing make good rp for SD and alot of people on the server also SWAT actually might get a used. i support this.

Having a gouvernment won't bring any other good roleplay hence I don't think there is anyone who studied at the rights university to know exactly how to act properly like someone of such an important grade.Also it's the God damn country side, people should start and roleplay like it is one and not some uber metropolis, I see racing cars every single day drifting around the dirty roads.


If I didn't say before, having someone to roleplay as a mayor would be useless.

Well i see where your coming from honey but the fact is that we need the government for alot of certain rps we can do one of two things with it. We can either not have an faction we can use it for certain rps, or we can make it a whole faction. But that's the compromise I thought up for the situation.

Perhaps if like, the Mayor and the Council got together once a month and decide stuff, you know. Just quick things, put stuff to a vote, and decide on policy for Red county. And in between these meetings, the mayor and the council just go about their normal jobs?

Council could be:

Mayor
Treasurer (For financial matters)
Sheriff
EMS Chief
Local business owners.
Two well respected Red County Residents.

Obviously the mayor is the chairperson.
I beleive this system to be the best, and could work for everyone.
This way the mayor doesnt go mad with power and we get sillly RPS, but government related administration gets sorted. Once a month...One meeting is all it takes..

This, is what I was thinking of, not a permanent job, like we can do it Unscripted or we can script it to create policies or stuff

I do agree with Ed this way. It would be cool. Plus it doesn't need to be scripted or anything. We should have a small town hall for a meeting though.
