VTM Not Working

Ok well i was steam searching for some games and i found this game called Vampire the Masquerade,
I payed 9.99 for the game. I downloaded it then i tried playing it but this error comes up and says vampire.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience.
So i tried it again and it said the same damn thing so i was like WTF. So if any of you had this problem and fixed it please let me know how to.

Bad PC, I think. Or corrupted setup. Try to re-install it.
