Shooting at ping
What is ping?
Ping is a computer network administration utility used to test the reachability of a host on an Internet Protocol (IP) network and to measure the round-trip time for messages sent from the originating host to a destination computer. The name comes from active sonar terminology.
Ping operates by sending Internet Control Message Protocol (ICMP) echo request packets to the target host and waiting for an ICMP response. In the process it measures the time from transmission to reception (round-trip time) and records any packet loss.
The results of the test are printed in form of a statistical summary of the response packets received, including the minimum, maximum, and the mean round-trip times, and sometimes the standard deviation of the mean.
Lag (delay) - time which needed on packets of information in computer network from client to server and back from server to client (counts in millisec). Lag associated with the connection speed and congestion of channels all the way from client to server.
How to use:
You can find out the connection speed as well as ping shows how many requests completed per/sec. You can find the channel quality by looking at how many answers did not come. It is often used by players in online games, because the quality of communication for them is very important.
Where I can find ping?
You can see opponent's ping or your own ping by pressing TAB button.
How this all can help?
By knowing opponent's ping, you can correct your aim/fire for bigger percentage of hitting him, you have to shoot infornt of the enemy in the same direction in which he is moving.
Where to shoot?
- Ping 30 m/s. approximate on 0.5cm from player's model.
- Ping 50-100 m/s. approximate on 1cm from player's model.
- Ping 100-150 m/s. approximate 1-1.5сm from player's model.
- Ping 150-200 m/s. approximate 1.5-2сm from player's model.
- Ping 200-250 m/s. approximate 2-2.5cm from player's model.
- Ping 250-300 m/s. approximate 2.5-3cm from player's model.
Shooting at ping depends from these factors:
- Distance between you and enemy. Farther away from your opponent, the closer to it will be a point on which we must shoot, and vice versa.
- Speed. With different weapons a player is moving at different speeds.
The heavier the weapon, the less speed, respectively, slightly reduced ping point.
- ]Sprint. When enemy is sprinting it's more difficult to hit him, as it increases the distance of its actual location. Increase the distance from the player on a 3-5cm near and 1-2cm away if far.
- During jump. Try to shoot in his legs.
But don't forget to always move, because standing player - dead player.
So, when you shoot a player, you cannot always get him. IF you want to ensure how would you get him?? Check his ping and don't just PM him saying HACKER because It's lag shot thing.
