NEWS: Licenses
I expect there to be a new weapons license application soon.
All current licenses (Including your own) are to be revoked immediately OOCly (So just do the command near them).
The new license system will be in place and you should save the people who have had their applications accepted from that.
Place more thought into accepting/denying applications or there will be a massive gun influx again where everyone can defend themselves. Not fun is it when you come into a 911 call and everyone has guns?
Those two things, Please do them.

Re: NEWS: Licenses
Indeed, I finished making all the topics for Greenson. I will not be answering applications unless the Sheriff's Department would like me to. If any changes need to be made, PM me and I'll add them in.
But please, please be more selective with who you give weapons licenses to. People should have a good reason for wanting a license. After all, people should be able to call 911 and get help and they need to demonstrate that they would be safe people to have with a gun. People who say "my family got murdered when I was young and I hate gang members" prolly aren't safe to be giving guns.

Remember, this is an important responsibility, it's kind of a solution to issues we have these days.

It is your right to have a gun in your own home, not to carry it out in public. Carrying a gun in public without a concealed carry license (which are VERY difficult to get because you cannot have any criminal record, any mental defects, or a whole bunch of other things- especially in California, which San Andreas is based off of) is highly illegal. So while it is your right to bear arms, it's not your right to carry them in public. People need to display a valid reason for wanting to carry a weapon, be it a professional reason or a special case.

Actually you gave a level 2 out to Seeker, which hacked off a load of other players considering you denied everyone else for not having a level 1 first yet Seeker didn't have a level 1.

I hear a good bit of whining and it's not even my fault. It's an in-character problem, deal with it in-character. Not only that, but there is no clause that clearances follow a tree-stacking system. Just as you don't need a 1 to get a 2, you don't need a 2 to get a 3.
Level 2 licenses do not have any requirement to have a previous license, they are just far more expensive and far more difficult to obtain, that is all. In the future, Greenson and I might look into making a separate application for level 2 licenses but it's pointless if all it takes is two applications copy/pasted.
The only thing is people need a valid reason for a level 2 license beyond "shotgun looks cooler" or "I like katana it shiny"- for instance, a professional need.

Re: NEWS: Licenses
It's A. To avoid having general idiots having weapons, If you cannot write up a proper license you are not capable of wielding a weapon in public. That's a general rule of thumb.
B. If you have a previous license there is a discount (But most people didn't read the topic, Just skipping to the application...) which doesn't put you out in the red. Who gains money off this? Nobody... It simply gives people who have the ability to write a decent application the right to bear arms in public.
Then there is no /b-itching about lack of knowledge.
Nobody likes /b-itching now don't they?

"Accepting me into the SD"? You didin't even bother to take the IC interview and asked me in /b "you were SD before right? i'll give you a chance" and /invited me without no ICly questions asked..

He asked me what to do, TheCalm is inactive from the forums or he just chooses not to post.
Applications get denied all the time, What do you learn from this? The requirement is a high quality application.
Were you not a 'RP' serial killer as well Desmond...? They don't exactly hand out licenses to mentally unstable people IC.
