Graphics Editor

Im looking to buy a graphics editor. Im sick of using Paint to make things like this:


(Dont ask why I made this, its about 2 Year old and I won 200 Pounds for it, And yes, I done every single Pixel Individually.)

I also made my amazingly old Newspapers with Paint, so I seriously need updating!

Im hoping to make better graphics, Im going into Graphics again.
Gimp, Photoshop, Picasso?
Any suggestions on which is the all round best for practically anything?

Why don't you use Paint.Net?

It's free and with a forum that has addons that you can download, tutorials, and helpful advice.

Photoshop Creative Suite 5.1 (PS CS5.1) is the way to go. ;D
