Houses
Well not sure how to start this exactly, nor sure enough if this had been suggested before but..
What if a system within houses bought could have multiple house keys for different people? For example, when you may have a family in-game and would like for your wife/husband or child to have access to your home. So instead of setting the house rent-able and having random players rent your home, where chances are they might steal your stored items.. you could only have certain ones you wish to live with you. This wouldn't just be for those who are in a family, though maybe having co-owners of the house, relationships with partners, business, and ect.
The way I think this might work is, when a player had succeeded buying a house and plans on sharing that house with someone(s) he/she and the ones planned to be sharing the house may go together to a Local Locksmith. Then the owner would file in a command to buy copies of his/her key. Then use another command to distribute the key to the player of desire. After that the other player(s) will have access to the house, being allowed to drop in items in the storage. (Weps, money)
Just a thought (not sure if possible). Discus your ideas on this if any, please.

Re: Houses
no.
I've seen this done with a good system.
1 business plus 1 business key (of someone else)
1 house plus 1 house key (of someone else)
x cars plus 1 car key (of someone else)
worked and didnt overwhelm the servers /stats

Re: Houses
Yep, though it'd be best if players can only have one house/residence. So if they "move out" or whatnot, they'll be forced to get the key removed in order to buy or rent another house. Just a the rent system, if you desire to live elsewhere or buy a home to yourself, you no longer have access to the previous house.
