Auspices

Rahu

Name: Rahu
Plural: Rahu
Pronunciation: rah-hoo
Nicknames: Warrior
Auspice: Full moon
Renown: Purity
Gifts: Dominance, Full Moon, Strength
Ability: Warrior's Eye
Specialties: Brawl, Intimidation, Survival

Rahu are born under the full moon, which bestows those who undergo their First Change in its sign mad fury. As Luna's face is filling, her spark of wrath reflects in the spirit landscape, making it a more dangerous place than it already is. Aggressive impulses are harder to overcome and Forsaken, who change under Luna's full face, are known for being vicious and unrelenting warriors. But this does not necessarily mark a true Rahu as a beserker, nor should he be dismissed as mindless. Some are inspiring leaders on the battlefield, others are talented and cunning tacticians.

A Rahu's role in a pack is to be the foremorst warrior, the first to charge into the enemy's rows and the last to retreat. A pack with a strong Rahu has better odds at succeeding in encounters, as he's not only a capable warrior but is also able to sense a foe's weakness.

The Change: Uratha who first change under the sign of the full moon are bound to unleash their burning fury on everything and everyone nearby, ensueing that the change will end in blood. It is far from being unheard of that Rahu may have to go through their lives with the stains of loved ones' blood on their hands.

Cahalith

Name: Cahalith
Plural: Cahalith
Pronunciation: kuh-hall-ith
Nicknames: Visionary
Auspice: Gibbous Moon
Renown: Glory
Gifts: Gibbous Moon, Inspiration, Knowledge
Ability: Prophetic Dreams
Specialties: Crafts, Expression, Persuasion

Cahalith serve as visionaries and more often than not they are overcome by thoughts and impulses that demand expression in form of artistry or musicianship of a sort. They are ridden by their dreams and uphold the Uratha's culture, remembering old legends and tales; Cahalith also look toward to the future, able to find answers to tomorrow's problems of the future in yesterday's tales. And even those without artistic talent are at least able to express themselves in their poignant howls.

Within a pack, the Cahalith most often fills the role of holding knowledge and information on almost everything. Their auspice ability allows them to catch glimpses of the future in their prophetic dreams, receiving clues from their interpretations.

First Change: Luna's gift to the visionary can be overwhelming during the First Change under the gibbous moon. The new Cahalith perceives scents, sounds, textures and various other stimuli that prove too much and make one lose control. In other cases, the Cahalith is partly hallucinating and partly receiving omens of the spirit world. The visionary is driven to long and loud howls to express her fear and bewilderedness.

Elodoth

Name: Elodoth
Plural: Elodoth
Pronunciation: ell-oh-doth
Nicknames: Walker Between
Auspice: Half Moon
Renown: Honor
Gifts: Half Moon, Insight, Warding
Ability: Spirit Envoy
Specialties: Empathy, Investigation, Politics

Ithaeur

Name: Ithaeur
Plural: Ithaeur
Pronunciation: ih-thay-ur
Nicknames: Spirit Master
Auspice: Crescent Moon
Renown: Wisdom
Gifts: Crescent Moon, Elemental, Shaping
Ability: Ritual Master
Specialties: Animal Ken, Medicine, Occult

Ithaeur are shamans of the People, gifted the barely visible face of Luna the patron goddess of mysticism. Those changed under the crescent moon share a mystical connection to the spirit world; it is their burden and duty to deal with denizens of Hisil.

Dealing with relatively friendy spirits is an easy to accomplish feat. But often it is the Spirit Master's role in a pack to wrestle the most malicious spirits into submission, and thus she might have the final word on dealing with issues in the spirit world. The Ithaeur also fits the role of the Ritual Master, allowing her to learn rituals notably easier than those who changed under a different auspice.

First Change: An Ithaeur's First change is marked by revelations from the shadow realm. It is not unheard of an Ithaeur catching glimpses from across the Gauntlet during her First Change, unveiling those spirits that came to observe her change from the first row

Irraka

Name: Irraka
Plural: Irraka
Pronunciation: ir-rah-kah
Nicknames: Stalker
Auspice: New Moon
Renown: Cunning
Gifts: Evasion, New Moon, Stealth
Ability: Pathfinder's Sense
Specialties: Larceny, Stealth, Subterfuge

The Irraka are masters of stealth and tracking among the Forsaken. These masters of stealth serve several roles within a pack.

First, Irraka are especially sensitve to the presence of Loci. They can sense them at greater distance and with greater accuracy than other Forsaken. This ability allows packs to seek out places where spirits may cross from the Hisil into the physical realm.

Additionally, the Irraka have access to gifts which allow them to hide in plain sight.
