[Guide]Roleplaying with an advanced /me system
Most of you know what I'm talking about, and some of you don't.
I'll be making this guide to any RP'er that uses /coin and or /do S/F for that matter but it also useful for others trying to use this system.
Let's start:
What is the advanced /me system:
The advanced /me system is basically role playing without using S/F or /coin in it.
How do I use it:
This system might be hard for beginners but once you get it it's quite easy and shows much more professionalism as an RP'er.
Let's start by going to a guy that you want to punch, we punch people don't we?, so let me show you how you /me it without any /do's or /coin's.
**Person A walks in front of Person B, clenches his fist and swings his fist towards Person B's jaw line.
Powergame? I think not, why ? let me explain:
I've did 2 actions that involve's the other person's act such as clenching my fist and swinging my fist towards him, it gives him an act to try and dodge it.
How can you dodge it:
**Person B suspected Person A as he came to him with clenched fist, he then sees the fist coming and dodged it by ducking.
Pretty easy isn't it ?, you basically leave the ball on the other person's court and let him act with a /me and not the robotic S or F.
But although.. a lot of people do not understand that this system requires more detail in your RP's.
Bad example of it:
**Person A punches Person B's jaw.
How is it bad you ask? I didn't gave him any chance of trying to anticipate it, it's like just walking to him with no hints of any attack he's gonna get and simply punch him.
A detailed /me could be more tolerate able than the this example ^ and people would understand your actions more.
Basic rules of it:
1. No more than TWO acts in one /me
2. It needs to be detailed and give the other person a chance in somehow survive it.
3. You need to /me your counter-attacks/dodges perfectly with 100% detail in it so it would not be powergame what so ever.
4. Try and keep the one /me kills away from situations as it is bad RP, why not finish him off in 5-4 /me's rather than one.
Using this system doesn't give you any rights or benefits or superiority on other players, This system is made for a funner and interesting RP and nothing more.
A better way to shoot/injure someone with a firearm:
A lot are usually RP'ing withdrawing a weapon like this:
**Person A takes out his pistol, aiming at Person B's head and shoots.
That is the "default" use of it, which I call bullshit.
You can obviously see no chance was given in that /me for the other person, Aiming steady at a person's head takes a few seconds also flicking the saftey off and un-holstering it from what ever you have put the firearm at.
Proper way of doing it:
**Person A withdraws his firearm, flicking the saftey off
**Person A aims the firearm towards Person B's head
**[1/2]
**[2/2]
**Person A pushes the trigger, firing a bullet towards Person B's head.
Why is this the proper way ? cause face it, aiming at a person's head will take a few seconds till you get a direct and perfect view of it on your crosshair.
As you aim the other person can either notice it, or try to slap the gun away from it's aiming, it's fair for both sides and leads to a neutral result.
Just remember: you are NOT faster than a bullet no matter what, once it's fired and perfectly aimed at it WILL hit you, no way of jumping to cover to dodge the bullet once it was fired.
You must remember: You are not the perfect battle master, most of these hits/punches/shot WILL hit you and won't be able to be dodged or evade it, RP it the way it would really be and not cause you're character is a bad-ass guy.
This ends my guide for RP'ing using the advanced /me system, I did my best to make it look simple and clean for you, I'm hoping you'd start RPing this way and get this S/F robotic system away from this server and we can finally have interesting RP.

Re: [Guide]Roleplaying with an advanced /me system
I use this system, its more complex and easier to use, so people should try this once in awhile
Re: [Guide]Roleplaying with an advanced /me system
And that leads to the good ol' "PG PG PG!" /bitchtalk, for example.
/me takes his Deagle from his jacket and shoots John_Doe in the head.
/me notices him reaching for his Deagle and sends a punch to his throat.
/me notices the punch and sends a kick to push him back.
/b Nonononoonon you didint see it coming..
/b oh yeah i did, problem?
Edit: Not to mention that this System is not yours, and it's used in many other servers, which leads us tooo:

/b-itching happens anyway.RomeKovz wrote:And that leads to the good ol' "PG PG PG!" /bitchtalk, for example.

Just because it is used on other roleplay servers, Does not mean that it cannot be used here, It is just one of the many roleplay styles that is used with SA-MP Roleplaying.RomeKovz wrote:Edit: Not to mention that this System is not yours, and it's used in many other servers, which leads us tooo:

Thanks for posting this David, I was thinking about writing one up a few days ago, as I've witnessed a couple of /b fights between new players that use the /do S/F system, and experienced players that used the /me action, /me reaction system.
I know how most people here RP, which RP system they use, it's an easy problem to work around for me, but when you get one person using the /do S/F RP system and one using the /me action/reaction RP system and both are refusing to work around it by using the other RP system, then it creates a few /b fights. :3
You saved me a few hours that I would've spent writing this. ^__^' TY again David.
Re: [Guide]Roleplaying with an advanced /me system
Taught this to myself ages ago...
One problem the S/F system has is that it gives the option of F even though the action could be a 99-1 success rate. So saying S/F makes it 50-50 automatically....

I try to use this system on this server but most people are like, "WTF??? PG USE /COIN NUB", so it's kind of impossible. I use it for mostly every other server..

Re: [Guide]Roleplaying with an advanced /me system
THAT^, WOULD lead to /b'itching... Because it IS powergaming...RomeKovz wrote:/me takes his Deagle from his jacket and shoots John_Doe in the head.

Proper way to RP:
/me unfolds his jacket, reaching for his deagle.
/me pulls out his deagle and takes aim at John_Doe's head.
*a few seconds to respond, if John notices *
/me pulls the trigger, firing at the man's head.
OR, if John noticed:
/me((John)) runs for cover, heading behind the wall
AND that would lead to:
/me((Shooter)) fires after John as he tries to run.
Yeah, it does require some more typing... But it's more fun and more realistic...

So, if your neighbor buys a house - and you buy one; you're copying other people?
I think not, I think you're just trying to improve.

Notrly, since my house is different.
But this RP system...i find it annoying, i mean, you can choose your own way to RP, if you use THIS system and most of the people use the old system, you're in some deep shit.

This is a guide, not a rule. Just keep RPing anyway you want. Although I find this system more appealing. Anyone can RP how they want. But if they think of some 'extra smarty' system they can be punished for PG.
