Router help Empty Router help

Post by Ray Sat Dec 03, 2011 3:23 am

Recently borrowed a new router from a friend to test it out.

It's a Vigor 2600 annex A

Now, it connects fine to other computers, but not my own. I have no idea if I've set it up
properly. If anyone has experience in this area, it would be appreciated if you could reply.

Did you check you have the right drivers installed?

I have no idea,
this router is too different than my last.

It's just odd that one computer will work wireless and another will not.

Search the model of the router on Google, just to be sure, try and download the drivers if you can find them.

What is the name of the manafacturer? Or is it just 'Vigor'?

Look for the driver on your computer and delete it, then unplug it and plug it after a computer restart, it should install drivers itself, or if you have a disk.
Usually these problems acure from anti viruses blocking drivers from being installed.

Try.. Phoning a customer support helpline, thats all I can say. Or maybe, try it via ethernet and type in your browser "127.0.0.1", login etc, and if you see anything similiar to 'Enable Wi-fi/wireless' make sure that it is checked.

This site is off-topic, but you may be able to find your router.

Just connected through a cable, it's working fine.

But I still need to figure out why it won't connect through wireless.
