Characters:
- Anthony Weber:
## Migrated out of Palomino to go back to his home country due to paranoia, and in order to re-unite with his nerdy friend Julia, happily ever after. ##
Description:
Anthony Weber is a man who wears the same type of clothes every day. He is always seen in his scruffy, white sleeveless shirt over a green t-shirt, wearing a dark-green shorts and a funny little red cap that bears the logo of the Los Santos Golfing club, which has closed down a few years ago. His figure looks more buff at the arms than the legs, which makes him look a bit funny. Maybe it's all those years of golfing! One of the friendliest people one can think of, he rarely thinks of retaliating, even to the people that wish him harm. Besides, He is an asthmatic, and diabetic, often making him unfit for fighting. He is also a geek, obsessed with documentation... And he occasionally passes awkward comments at the wrong time. However, all in all, he tries his best to adhere to his pacifist nature.
Life story:
Age 7-15:
He lived in a small country in Europe where he was brought up by rather strict parents. He never had all that much self-esteem at school, which often enticed people to offend him or even physically threaten him in secondary school. He was often considered nerdy and anti-social because his shy personality drove people away from him. He often spent time with his teachers and proved to be one of the few interested students there were in the school. At first, this made him very interested in secondary school studies as he started to get straight A-grades and a few B grades in his yearly exams, but towards the end of secondary school, the loneliness got to his head. How much can a person bear having to go to a place where an entire school of students seem to want nothing but harm, or leech off self-confidence? His interests crumbled, and he started investing in hobbies and slacking from school, which was most shocking to his parents.
All in all, he never had much party and social fun in his childhood, as he preferred to invest time in his hobbies rather than to speak to people. He started drawing at a relatively young age, and was always interested in electronics, in how circuits work.
Age 16-18:
To his surprise, he found that the end of the secondary school exams showed pass results. His parents were still mad at him for getting an average grade of C, though. He chose biology and chemistry for 'A' levels, and intermediates in physics, and two other subjects. Social life still remained a mystery to him, and gradually loneliness stopped bugging him. He always had fun learning, and understood quickly. People avoided him instead of trying to annoy him at this stage of life.
Age 19 - 25:
The computer! Who needs friends when the nerdy Anthony could use a computer? In 1995, computers were everywhere! He had made a nerdy friend when he entered the pharmacy course who was very similar to him - And it was a girl too! Her name was Julia, and they helped each other out during the course, and Anthony realised the true potential of computers - an endless potential. He started programming with help from Julia, and the first language he picked up was Microsoft QuickBasic. He often thought of trying to date her, but he always dismissed the idea because he thought he'd never had a chance. At the end of the course, he finished with a 2nd class upper result. (average B grade). Anthony realised at the end of the course how awesome social life could be, and how much he's missing out by not talking to anybody.
Age 26 - 30:
He got employment with a local pharmaceutical industry as part of a research & development team - he hit it big! But much to his dismay, the company failed and had to close down, leaving him with barely any employment opportunity in his country. Frustrated and unwilling to leave Julia, he made a hard decision to go abroad, somewhere far, big, and successful. He decided to go Palomino Creek.
Age 30-34:
The university of Canada recognised his interest in IT via a recommendation from his local country's university, and offered him to sit for an MSc. in Information Technology's applications to Pharmacy. He took this course. Now he's seriously a genious. He remained in contact with Julia over the internet, and they both seem to wish they could come together. Julia seems to be enticed to abandon her family and go all the way to Canada to be with him.
The tutors in the university realised enormous potential in Anthony Weber, noticing that he seems to be the jack of all trades. He seems to know about many, many things! He created a prediction model to help doctors choose the right antibiotic for staphylococcus aureus infection, and created a computer program to graphically facilitate it.
Age 35:
Anthony goes to Palomino Creek, notifying Julia. She seems overly excited, and Julia could be coming at any moment! However, to Anthony's dismay, communications with her seems to have been cessated. She's not online anymore. Something could have happened?
Anthony finally flew to and settled down in Palomino Creek, trying to look for a house. To his dismay, he soon falls into a huge scam and ends up losing quite some cash. He was nearly broken by this, because now he doesn't even have a job in Palomino. What's worse is that he soon realised that he had impaired glucose tolerance, which is just a step away from diabetes. He wasn't too happy.
With the money he had left, he manages to buy a house in 26th Palomino Creek. That looks good. He also buys a malamute for 500$. Expensive dogs they are, but he thinks they're immensely awesome. He was left with a minimal amount of friends, and now it's getting back to him. He's bored of having his husky as his only friend. He enrolled with the EMS, being accepted. However, he realised that it would be better if had a BLS course to further teach him practical aspects of clinical work, so he left for 6 months to take the course.
Age 36:
On coming back to Palomino, he made a small amount of friends. Or people who talk to him. He tries to keep a nice smile on his face to hide those weird-ass experiments he does at home, most often done on rats with weird geneticomutant drugs. He's just too curious if he could produce a sentient animal of some sorts, but that's illegal without an animal study license as far as the law is concerned.
Now, he is attempting to re-apply to the EMS as a paramedic, while trying to help Atiliiary Facilities to get back on its feet via freelance science activities, such as his article about the microelectronic uses of arsinide gas.
Recently, he's also become very aware of the presence of vampires and werewolves. And he's also sick to the bone of how he's been treated by most of them.
- Jones Cunningham:
## Emigrated out of Palomino Creek, as he was terrified of the dead man placed on the cross by a mysterious group. ##
Jones Cunningham is your average roman Catholic priest. He wears a wooden cross around his neck, and is rarely seen without his impeccable smile. He is an optimist, and has come to Palomino Creek with one mission: To give mankind good values, and strengthen a society that he thinks lacks many good values.
He is a master of psychology and after so many years of life, wise in how the human mind thinks. He only wishes to deliver good values through building a relation of trust with people. He half-heartedly criticises the common misconception where people look at God in a materialistic way, and he tends to emphasise the fact that God is a metaphor that signifies all that is good, and not a person.
He gives masses every day at 6:00 PM. In addition, he is generally available at the drive-thru confession to give some quick help to people "in the name of God". Which to him translates to, "in the name of all that is good". And sometimes, he gets just plain bored and preaches outside.
Father Jones, like any normal human being, sometimes has his doubts about religion and its philosophy. But at the end of the day, he strides to never turn out to be a quitter.
- Wenza Bozza:
## Passed away by a second stroke event ##
One of Palomino Creek's last living old hags, she occasionally walks down the streets because her doctor advises her to. She is taking anti-hypertensive treatment with an ACE inhibitor, and she is rather weak.
Despite her weakness and complete inability to fight, she very often becomes quite offensive with minor provocations. Unfortunately, nobody is there to take care of her, and it seems quite natural for someone to feel sorry for her... Until she starts waving her cane around like an angry woman that she is!
She has a long list of things that she hates, including monsters, animals, mice, insolent people with guns, people who remind her of her age, people who don't believe in her religion, and it goes on and on...
However, she seems to be quite a funny character when she's angry, even though it would take a stone cold heart to beat her up or kill her.
- Frank Girrard:
## Abandoned Grove and left Palomino to re-unite with his parents. He can't stand how weird things were in Palomino. He always lived in the fear that the next day he will wake up, and a strange being will take his life. ##
Frank Girrard is a fat, slightly radical gangster -- He's one of the "New Bloods" in Grove Street gang. Although he is never afraid to pick up a bat and beat the snot out of an offensive, provocative person, he is usually more interested in pulling on funny pranks on people. Usually, his pranks involve silly puns, false alarms and slapstick humour.
Frank isn't the type of person that goes looking for fights, but he is a brave man who stands up for his gang with no questions asked, and is ready to endure injuries. Whether it's being kicked in the balls, or batted at the back of the head, he's always standing tall for some action.
To only the people that he knows well, he becomes a thoughtful person, and he has his soft side.
