Speed Bumps
I would like to Suggest Speed Bumps for all the main roads around Palomino. All the roads around the bank and heading to MG etc will have Speed Bumps (Will need to be Mapped). But all the minor roads such as around the houses, will not need speed Bumps. I was thinking, you can use the Small tunnel thing on the map editor, the Grey tunnel, Basically make it slightly sticking out of the ground and make them fairly spread out. It would be rp like and would stop those pesky speeders.

Re: Speed Bumps
Or... it would just make it easier to have flying cars...
But I do think its a better idea for RP reasons.

Re: Speed Bumps
It's a great idea. You can cover the bump on the red bridge on the PC entrance with one. Atleast we'll see what we ran into...

Who might these speeders be . Anyways, it's not a bad idea, but, then I'll just go do my driving in the forest.

Re: Speed Bumps
I have a question, what object will we use for a speed bump? I mean they are Road Scripted I think, we cant just rip off a script of the road and add it, so what object?
Re: Speed Bumps
Lag?
If you add to many of those shizzels people will lag like hell.
And no, I'm not trying to be ass or anything for saying this, idea is great but I'm just thinking about consequences.

A couple of these will add barely any lag at all. Think of all those other servers with hundreds of things scripted that don't lag much.
Re: Speed Bumps
Yeah Nic, The speed Bumps will only be 1 Object. Rather then 3 that form it. Also the Speed bumps would be fairly spread out. So you would not need a great number of these objects mapping.

Re: Speed Bumps
Well I read this and mapped it quickly in MTA, this is what I made. Take note that it depends on a car you drive what effect it will have. If you have a rancher you'll just drive over it, but if you're using a lower car, like Turismo, it'll get damaged. Also, if you stop on it, you car's doors will probably be damaged.
There is one on the entrance of PC (screenshot), two near the bank, two near the ad business and one at the east exit of PC.

Nice work,I like it.BTW make the road mubs less tall...that is kinda much at my head...to make lose control to people you can use something that might just come up the road...In my opinion if you lower them down a bit would be great.

Well, it can easiliy be done by manually adjusting the height of thesemodel IDs lines and their height.
CreateObject(3287, 2187.0537109375, 43.198429107666, 24.5, 0, 0, 0);
Height between 24.4 and 24.55 all work goood. Below or above those just ruin the whole point of a speed bump.

I agree with speed bumps in the towns, but not on the country roads. Not much point...You know...You can just go off road and continue along that way...

Speed bumps are only used in populated areas. Where have you seen a speed bump in the middle of a open road? IRL never.

Mapped Palomino Creek
Okay i mapped the palomino and i added some Speed bump and Additional Gas station and some Hotdog cart and Noodles.
This is the SS.
[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
You can see at the SS i added a gas station and Speed bump i add that gas station so Palomino can have one so they don't need to go visit Montgomery or dilimore to refuel if only if they spawn in Palomino and they got low fuel and also the Speed bumps is working its working very well its good when you see it IG.
[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
You can see on that SS i added some food carts its good its will be useful to a newbie they can Rp selling hotdog/Noodles

The speed bumps aren't needed in RC, they may come in handy in the LS or larger areas, not the country side.
Also we can't put everything in Palomino, if we do then Dillimore and Montgomery won't serve much as a purpose, the idea is to expand the RP to other players rather than Palomino and outside the bank...

I Only put three Speed bump on the Three entrance of the Palomino Creek to make the Car slow down i just added the Gas Station so Palomino Creek can have Gas Station too so if they got low Fuel and they are at the Palomino they will just going to visit the gas Station and i added that two foodcart so Newbie can have a Small business that they can earn small cash
