Hm, this was only a Katana and I'm pretty sure it has nothing to do with SD, it wasn't like I ran up to the dude and sold him a bunch of AK-47s?

This only means anything enveloping police business. If the RP does not need SD in anyway, It is allowed. (You can't be corrupt to advantage/disadvantage anyone)

Meh, I'll accept any punishment, I really didn't know that giving out a Katana was corruption as I RPed that it was handed down from generation to generation in my family.
