RPly avoiding /accept ticket?
Tbh, I don't think that is fair and by the rules. Please, only admins post here and state your opinion.
Ie. I write a ticket to person B, that costs $100
*Person B places the ticket on the dashboard.*
Person B says: I'll pay it later.
*Person B drives off*
What's the point in tickets them when you can just do that and never pay it? And admin did this today. I won't mention the admins name. Just tell me, is that powergaming or not?

He has to accept it. If he doesn't pay it you arrest him later on.

Re: RPly avoiding /accept ticket?
I don't see the point of paying for it OOCly, when my character doesn't play on paying it ICly. I honestly have no problem paying for a ticket on any of my other characters, except Karla. I was trying to explain this to you IG, then you start going on about reporting it, and saying that I was PG'ing a ticket? C'mon.. PGing a ticket isn't possible.
Most of the other cops have no problem with it, I don't on my alt, DeRon hasn't when I've RP'ed with him, Miranda went through the same thing with me earlier, but didn't try to force me to pay it OOCly.

Re: RPly avoiding /accept ticket?
Point in paying it OOCly? You said that you are RPing to "pay" it later if I recall correct. ICly you wasn't refusing to pay it. Well, there is no way to check if you really payed it later or not. The whole point of the ticket is so that the players should face some consequences for their actions. As you said, IRL you don't have to pay it on the spot. But... IRL you would get arrested if you wouldn't pay the ticket in time, but here in SAMP we can't know that... because we don't know if you have paid the ticket or not.
And I do mind, because if you do that, other players will start doing it and eventually, the whole point of ticketing someone will be gone.

Re: RPly avoiding /accept ticket?
In reality unpaid parking tickets would add up and eventually result to you being called into court. The way I do tickets now in the server is, when I pull someone over, I try to let them off with a warning. If they piss me off during the traffic stop, I give them a ticket. If they don't pay the ticket right then, I let them go, but then look for them right before the payday and pull them over again and ask about the ticket. No money, arrest them.
Its not completely RP, but its the only method I can think of right now to get the job done.

1. Park your cruiser behind.
2. The cruiser camera records any data from the vehicle infront.
3. He/She runs away without paying.
4. You check the video, put up a BOLO for ANYTHING/EVERYTHING the perp has.
5. Profit.

Its not the fact that they drive off before you ticket them. Its the fact that you can ticket them and if they chose not to pay it right then, there is no consequence.

Because this is what happens everytime:
An officer gets sick of a suspect and puts up a BOLO, they find him, he runs away, 1 hour passes, everyone ignores the BOLO.

Re: RPly avoiding /accept ticket?
This is what you do at a traffic stop:
1. Confront them, tell them what they did and ask for license and registration.
2. Keep the license and write them a ticket, once they accept and pay the ticket, you give the license back. If they run off you still have their license and therefor all the information on the person. Simple as that. And if the person drives off, you pursue them. If you can't keep up with a pursuit that's not anyone's problem but yours.

IRL an officer can't hold you there until you pay a ticket. Besides, some people don't carry more than 50 bucks on the server.
